Who We Are
Welcome to Zimmdot! We’re a studio in Atlanta Georgia where we focus on great code, fun projects, and giving back. Our team has worked on virtually every platform and in every field imaginable in the software industry. Check out our team below and if you have questions, please contact us!
Patrick Childers, CTO 
Patrick is one of the two founding principals of Zimmdot. As CTO, he oversees the development of new technologies and innovations. Patrick’s passion for programming exploded after reading, in only six days,Teach Yourself Perl 5 in 21 Days. A proven entrepreneur, Patrick has been one of the founding principals for Quadserve Communications and now Zimmdot. Between starting successful businesses, he has worked the slots (at RealTime Gaming), the racetracks (at Rainbow Studios, THQ), and the weather forecast (for The Weather Channel).
Dayle Flowers, Tech Lead
Dayle Flowers is a Tech Lead at Zimmdot. He also started Greater Good Games which released BreakBlocks this year. Dayle has over 9 years as a video game professional and is an expert at developing games in UnrealScript.
Ryan Droege, Programming
As part of our inaugrual Summer Internship Program, Ryan jumped on board with the team in May of 2012. He won our respect with his superior coding skills, our esteem for fixing the company Pinball machine, and the competition for most hours logged during Crunch Week. Outside the office, there is even more to admire about this guy. Ryan started a nonprofit with a couple friends that raise money for microloans to individuals who need a hand up.
Bill Fipps, Programming
Lauren Childers, CEO
Lauren is the other founding principal of Zimmdot. Lauren has worked for Sylvan Learning Centers for five years in a variety of positions, including teaching and scheduling. She is now a working mother of two and enjoying mixing family and a family business. Organization, structure, and schedules are Lauren’s strong points. She’s the one who keeps these (choo-choo!) trains running on time.
Dave Warner, Director of Client Relations
Recently joining Zimmdot after more than 20 years in the film and television business, Dave brings a new perspective to software development. Dave is tasked with keeping our clients happy by expanding projects and creating new opportunities for our many friends, clients, and vendors.
Barry Peavy, Web and Graphic Designer
Barry is a lifelong artist and as such loves his day job. Which works well for us! Barry likes challenging projects and is motivated by the opportunity to evolve as a designer. His expertise spans mediums as he is proficient in languages and programs across the board. You should know, as a creative, he sometimes communicates in song. So, consider yourself warned.
