A blog from Zimmdot
This week, Zimmdot is highlighting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). “LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. The mission of LLS is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.”*
Unfortunately, most of us have loved ones who have been affected by one type of cancer or another. A friend of Zimmdot’s, Megan Odom, is raising funds and competing in an Olympic distance triathlon as part of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training. Here’s a video of Megan’s story: http://vimeo.com/21087959
As part of her Team In Training’s fundraising efforts, they are holding a night out and silent auction at 5 Seasons Brewing on April 17th in Atlanta. To support Megan, the Atlanta Team In Training chapter, and the LLS, Zimmdot has donated The Ultimate Movie Night Basket for the silent auction including: an Apple TV & remote, a $25 iTunes Gift Card, a full year subscription to NetFlix, one 6′ HDMI cable, two 20 oz Coke Cola Classic, Theater boxes of candy: Twizzlers, Junior Mints, Sour Patch Kids, & Rasinets, and one black basket.
Tickets to the Silent Auction are $20, of which $10 goes directly to LLS. Drinks and appetizers are provided. There will be a raffle in addition to the silent auction, and each raffle ticket is $5. If you would like to buy tickets to the event at 5 Seasons Brewing on April 17th, let us know, and we will put you in direct contact with Megan.
